Thanks to all our supporters…and Nikki Garcia fans!

Killer Nashville awarded my novel, Waking Up in Medellin, the Silver Falchion for Best Fiction Adult Suspense!!!

The Awards Ceremony continued…

…and

Waking Up in Medellin

Won the Silver Falchion for Best Fiction Book of the Year

Thanks to all of you…for supporting Bob and me on this incredible journey since we launched Waking Up in Medellin.

I started writing to entertain myself, hoping someday my writing would entertain others! As that started happening, it was the best payback I could receive!!

When I started working on Waking Up in Medellin, I had the full story in my head. Suddenly the characters took on a life of their own and dictated to me where the action should lead!!!

Originally Floyd, the private investigator Nikki hires, was not in the novel. Sort of like an unplanned pregnancy, he showed up one day! Now I cannot image Waking Up without him!

Why is an award important? My literary friends and publishers say it sets a book apart. It also gives credibility to the authors, the creators of characters, such as Nikki Garcia.

For Bob and me, the awards represent the cherry at the top of the mountain after a long hike to get there! It’s been a lot of fun for both of us and we hope fun for the readers and fans of Nikki Garcia.
